We love being able to enjoy tasty and healthy meals on our outdoor adventures. So we’re going to share how we cook the Moth Burgers when camping!
Our Big Moth Burger has been super popular for a couple years. We began selling them in bulk so you can enjoy them at home, at a backyard barbeque, or even out camping.
Let’s dive right into it! The easiest way we found to cook the Moth Burger Patties while camping it to use a non-stick pan over the fire. You want to cook it over good hot coals, not a blazing fire. This will ensure the burgers are evenly cooked and don’t get burnt.
Alternatively, if the grill on on your fire is small enough you could try cooking the patties right on there, as if it were a barbeque. We’d suggest brushing the burgers lightly with oil to prevent them from sticking to the grill.
Another way you could cook Moth Burger Patties on a camping trip is with a camp stove. Either using a grill version or stove top with a pan.
Since the temperature of a fire will vary, keep an eye on the patties to determine when they are done cooking. They should be nice and browned and warm throughout.
For the best consistency we recommend keeping the patties frozen until cooking. Pack them around the ice in your cooler, cook the first night of your adventure and you’re good to go!
You can go fancy with all the toppings if you’d like. But we kept it simple with just ketchup and mustard and it made a super tasty post-hike meal. You could even pack a burger like this for a snack while you’re out and about. Full of plant-based protein and carbs to keep you going on a long journey!
